1. Who runs this

  1. This sponsor auction (the "Auction") is run by Nico Pineiro as an individual (the "Organizer"). The Auction sells advertising space. It is not a charity, it does not collect donations, and Nico is not acting on behalf of any charity.
  2. The Auction is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by IRONMAN, The IRONMAN Group, the organizers of IRONMAN Leeds, or Movember.

2. Where the money goes

  1. Movember has not endorsed or partnered with this project. Nico will personally donate 100% of net proceeds to Movember within 30 days after each drop's zones are paid, and post the receipt publicly on this site.
  2. "Net proceeds" means winning payments received, minus payment-processing fees. The Organizer covers all other costs personally. A drop's zones count as paid once every payment window for that drop has ended, including any passes to the next bidder.
  3. You are buying advertising and sponsorship space, not making a charitable donation. Your payment goes to the Organizer, not to Movember. You receive something of value (your logo displayed), so your payment is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution, and you will not receive a donation receipt. It may be deductible as a business advertising expense. Ask your own tax advisor.

3. Drops

  1. The Auction runs in drops. Each drop lists specific zones and has its own posted opening and closing time. Only one drop is open for bidding at a time, and zones in other drops can't be bid on until their drop opens.
  2. Each drop is open for 14 days. The posted dates are the official schedule and may be changed by the Organizer before a drop opens. Once a drop is open, its close can only move later.
  3. Drop 0 ("The Forehead") gets one extra day for every 100 new followers of the Organizer's TikTok account (@neekpiece), counted from the follower count when Drop 0 opens, up to 7 extra days (21 days total). The count is checked automatically about once an hour. If a check fails, the last successful count is used. Extra days are never taken away once added.
  4. Drop 0 has a $1 opening bid and a $5 minimum increment. Other drops use the tier opening bids and increment posted on this page.
  5. A drop may have a reserve price, shown next to the opening bid. Drop 0 (the forehead) has a $500 reserve. If no bid reaches the reserve by the close, the zone does not sell, no one is charged, and it is re-listed in the final drop. Whether the reserve has been met is shown on the zone's page while bidding is open. The Organizer may lower or remove a reserve during a drop but will never raise it.
  6. Zones that don't sell in their drop, including zones whose winners don't pay, are re-listed in the final drop ("Everything Left").

4. Who can bid

  1. You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. If you bid for a company, you confirm you're authorized to commit it to pay.
  2. You must verify a working email address and save a valid payment card with Stripe before bidding. The card is checked when you save it but not charged. One bidder account per person or company. The Organizer and members of the Organizer's household will not bid, and no one may bid on the Organizer's behalf to raise prices.

5. How bidding works

  1. All amounts are in US dollars, in whole dollars. Every new bid must beat the current high bid by at least the posted increment.
  2. Each zone closes at its drop's posted end time. A bid placed in the final 5 minutes moves that zone's close to 5 minutes after the bid, and this repeats until nobody bids for 5 minutes. The server's clock is the official time.
  3. Every bid is a binding offer to pay that amount if you win. Bids can't be withdrawn. If you bid by mistake, contact the Organizer right away. Removing a bid is at the Organizer's discretion.
  4. Bid history is public and shows each bid's display name, amount, and time. Your email address is never shown. Don't use a display name you don't have the right to use.

6. The Organizer's rights

  1. The Organizer may reject any bid, remove any bidder, or refuse any sponsor at their sole discretion, before or after a zone closes, including for suspected fraud, shill bidding, or a sponsor that doesn't fit these terms.
  2. The Organizer may extend, pause, or cancel the Auction, any drop, or any zone, for example because of a technical fault, an error in posted prices, or a change to the race. If a zone is cancelled after you've paid for it and before your payment has been donated, you'll get a full refund.
  3. Technical problems such as outages, email delays, or bids that fail to go through don't create any obligation to accept a bid.

7. Winning and paying

  1. The highest valid bid at or above any reserve when a zone closes wins.
  2. By placing a bid, you authorize the Organizer to charge your saved card for the full amount of that bid if it wins. The charge is made automatically when the zone closes, and Stripe emails you a receipt. Losing bids are never charged.
  3. If the automatic charge fails (for example, the card is declined, cancelled, or the bank requires your approval), you'll be emailed a Stripe invoice and must pay within 48 hours of it being sent. Changing or cancelling your card does not cancel a winning bid.
  4. If the winner doesn't pay in time, the Organizer may offer the zone to the next-highest eligible bidder in that drop at that bidder's own highest bid, with a new 48-hour window. This can repeat. A bidder who is offered a zone this way is bound by their bid in the same way.
  5. All sales are final once paid, except as described under "If the race doesn't happen" or where the law requires a refund.

8. Your logo

  1. After paying, you'll get a private link to upload a logo (PNG, JPG, or WebP) plus a display name and website link.
  2. You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything you submit. You grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce and display it on race day, on this site, and in related photos, videos, and social media, with no end date for content already posted.
  3. Not allowed: anything unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent, or defamatory; political campaigns; tobacco, vaping, cannabis, or other drugs; gambling; weapons; alcohol unless the Organizer approves it; financial products or crypto unless the Organizer approves it; anything that infringes someone else's rights; anything that suggests an endorsement by IRONMAN or Movember; and anything that would break the race's rules. The Organizer may refuse, resize, recolor, or remove any logo. If a logo is refused and you don't provide an acceptable replacement within 7 days, the Organizer may display your name as text instead. That doesn't entitle you to a refund.
  4. Displaying your logo doesn't mean the Organizer, IRONMAN, or Movember endorses you, your products, or your services.

9. Race day

  1. Logos will be applied non-permanently, and nothing will be tattooed permanently. Race rules require the torso and shoulders to be covered on the bike and run, so the chest, stomach, back, shoulder-blade, shoulder, and butt zones will be printed on the race suit in the matching position. Forehead, cheek, arm, leg, and neck zones will be temporary tattoos or body paint on the skin. A wetsuit may cover most zones during the swim.
  2. The race's own rules and officials' instructions always come first. If a logo has to be covered, moved, shrunk, or removed to comply, it will be, with no refund.
  3. Photos from the day are not guaranteed. The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to post photos of the sponsor zones.

10. If the race doesn't happen

  1. Proceeds are donated after each drop, often months before race day, so donated payments can't be refunded.
  2. If Nico doesn't start IRONMAN Leeds 2027 for any reason, including injury, illness, or a cancelled or postponed race, the sponsorship will still be honored: logos will be displayed on this site and in social media, and at a substitute endurance event if one is reasonably possible. Payments not yet donated at that point will be refunded on request.
  3. If Nico starts but doesn't finish, the sponsorship counts as delivered.

11. Privacy

  1. Your email is used only to run this Auction: verification, outbid and win notices, invoices, and logo uploads. If you joined the launch list, it's also used for drop announcements, and every one of those emails has a one-click unsubscribe. It is never sold or shared, except with the services that run the site: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), and Stripe (payments). Your card details are entered on and stored by Stripe; this site only keeps the card brand and last four digits. Ask the Organizer and your data will be deleted once your drop is settled.

12. Liability

  1. The site and the Auction are provided as is. As far as the law allows, the Organizer's total liability to any bidder or sponsor is limited to the amount that person actually paid. The Organizer isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost publicity.
  2. You agree to indemnify the Organizer against claims arising from the content you submit or from your breach of these terms.
  3. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, plus the posted prices and times, are the whole agreement for the Auction.
